Feast Of The Conversion Of St Paul

The Conversion on the Way to Damascus: Caravaggio

I love that the Church celebrates the feast of St Paul's Conversion. It reminds me of the fact that while I was knocked off my high horse some years ago, I am in need of constant and on~going conversion in order to grow spiritually. One of my favorite verses from Scripture is found in Galations:
"I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and sacrificed Himself for me." (Gal 2:20)
It is only because of His love and sacrifice that conversion is possible.
I pray for St Paul's intercession today that I may live and spread the Gospel in my own life and times.
St Paul, pray for us!

I learned a lot about St Paul last year as the Church celebrated him. It really put into perspective everything he did for the Catholic church. His conversion and passion for Christ is a constant inspiration to me. I'm glad you took the time to remind me that today is that feast day!

God Bless!

Thanks for stopping by, Michael. I also learned more about this great saint from reading the Holy Father's book about him.

We could all use a little knocking off our horses every now and then, couldn't we?

I love this feast day, we celebrate it as a special day in our house since my husband's name is Paul.

Wow... I just finished writing on my blog about St. Paul and perpetual conversion, and then came and saw this.

Bless you for giving me something to meditate on all day :). I want to be knocked off my horse every morning, that way I can grow with rapid fervor and be saintly like Paul.
