Desire For God Present In Every Heart

Last Wednesday Pope Benedict XVI outlined what he would be teaching in his next series on the topic of Christian Prayer. In today's catecheses, the Holy Father stresses that we are all made in God's image and that a desire for God is present in every human heart. Today's segment is a brief one, but brings out what the true purpose and meaning of prayer should be in this closing line:
"Let us resolve to pray more frequently, to listen in the silence of our hearts to God’s voice, and to grow in union with the God who has revealed himself in Jesus Christ, with the One who is infinite Love."
