Anniversary of Shame
Today is the 36th anniversary of the Supreme Court's decision legalizing abortion. Join with me today in praying for those who will courageously make the trip to our nation's capital to speak with their voices or simply by their presence, on behalf of the unborn and those who have died because of this tragic decision. Let us also pray for the mothers, fathers, family and friends who are in need of healing from the wound abortion inflicts.
In a reflection on the readings for today's Mass, the writer says that Roe v. Wade has made a "cemetery of our nation, and turned the wombs of mothers into tombs of their babies." What a fitting analogy! Please take a minute to read the reflection titled Anniversary of Shame.
May God bless all who work tirelessly in support of life.
